1 Arrival in Leh
Welcome to Leh, the capital of Ladakh at 11,800 ft. After arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, transfer to your hotel for a full day of high-altitude acclimatization. Later in the afternoon, visit the serene Shanti Stupa and historic Leh Palace.
2 Sham Valley Excursion
Drive along the Indus River on the Leh-Kargil Highway. Visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, experience the mystical Magnetic Hill, and witness the magnificent confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Explore Alchi Gompa's 11th-century temples and Likir Monastery.
3 Leh to Nubra Valley
Journey over Khardung La (18,390 ft) - the highest motorable road in the world. Marvel at panoramic views of the Indus Valley and Zanskar range. Arrive at Nubra Valley, known as "Ldumra" or the valley of flowers, nestled between Karakoram and Ladakh ranges.
4 Nubra Valley - Turtuk Excursion
Explore Turtuk, a border village won by India in the 1971 war with Pakistan. Visit a 16th-century mosque showcasing Turkish and Iranian influences, ancient Dhards fort ruins, and a monastery. Enjoy magnificent views of K2, the world's second-highest peak.
5 Nubra to Pangong Lake
Experience a camel ride on double-humped Bactrian camels among Hunder's sand dunes. Visit Diskit, the headquarters of Nubra Valley. Journey to Pangong Tso via the scenic yet adventurous Agham & Shyok Valley route, passing through remote Changthang villages.
6 Pangong Lake to Leh
Morning at leisure to soak in Pangong Lake's beauty. Return to Leh via Changla Pass (17,590 ft). En route, visit Hemis Gompa, the largest monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu order, Thiksey Monastery, and Shey Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh.
